Who Is Behind Letters to Lewis?

My name is Paulie Godbout. I’m a follower of Jesus, a husband, father, and storyteller.

What Is Letters to Lewis All About?

This isn’t a blog where you’ll find “5 Ways to Get Your Kids Excited About the Bible.” You’re more likely to find “5 Reasons Why I Struggle With the Bible,” although I haven’t actually written a letter with that title. Yet.

Letters to Lewis is a place where I share real life stories of how being a father has brought me closer to The Father. It’s a place where you’ll find a father telling his son about his struggles, how he’s working out his faith with fear and trembling, how he fails, and how his son has opened his eyes to the true character of God more than anyone else ever has.

In early 2014 I was encouraged to begin sharing these letters, so I created letterstolewis.com. Every Week I publish a letter or two, along with a few questions to reflect upon.

I’d love for you to join me and the growing community of people at Letters to Lewis by subscribing to the weekly newsletter, following us on Facebook and Twitter, and sharing your stories in the comments section of each letter.

I’m New. Where Should I Start?

The letters aren’t published in chronological order, so you can start anywhere. And every letter tells a story of how Lewis has changed my life. However, here are a few that have been particularly meaningful to me.

Want To Know A Little More About Lewis’s Dad?

My life goals are simple: to know God and to make Him known. First and foremost, I want to make God known to my family. Lucky for me, my family has brought me closer to God than anything I’ve ever experienced.

face copyAfter touring and playing music non-stop for a decade I naturally became a me-centered person. That began to change when God gave me an awesome wife, Cherie. Even though she helped sand down a lot of my rough edges, it’s easy to love a beautiful woman. God’s answer to what I needed next in my ongoing refinement process was a child. So, in June of 2013, He gave us Lewis.
